De-bunking the Psychic Myth

Posted by gayewright - February 11th, 2009

There is still a widely held belief for many people that if you tell a psychic reader nothing of your situation or query, then you receive a more ‘accurate’ reading – the psychic first must demonstrate their ability to you, or tell you something they couldn’t possibly know. Well, whilst in some cases when a client asks for a ‘general reading’, they are wanting an overview of their direction, in the vast majority of cases, this is just a way for a client to conceal from the psychic what their question really is.

For an Origin Psychic, a psychic reading is fundamentally a form of divination – the person having the reading seeks understanding and guidance about a particular time or situation in their lives where their knowledge has reached a limit or boundary. We seek to go beyond our own individual perception, into the shared consciousness, to bypass our conscious rational mind, and to access that amazing resource.

In a divination, you need a question – it’s as simple as that. It’s as if you stand at the edge of your knowledge and are looking for a light to guide you as you enter the unknown. Your question acts almost as a match strike, activating and setting in motion all sorts of vibrations which your reader can then explore with you – the possibilities that are unfolding, the timing and rhythm of your situation, the hidden motivations that might be moving things along. Your question supports you to relax and be receptive to the flow of knowledge which will unfold in your reading. It’s an act of trust, and actually allows your reader to really consciously enter into the unknown with you – quite the opposite to popular belief!
So the next time you have a reading, really ponder your question. Even if it’s as open-ended as a question about your direction, you will be helping to set in motion a truly wonderful flow of psychic energy and knowledge.
