Have you ever thought about becoming a psychic?  We all have psychic abilties, developing them can make an enormous difference to your life. Strong psychic powers can transform a person, increasing confidence, improving relationships and helping in the making of more intelligent and appropriate decisions. Each of us has this enormous psychic ability which often lies underneath our thinking minds, untapped  and unused.
Psychic abilities have been equated with fortune-telling and predicting the future. It has been associated with gypsy like women with dark eyes and an odd way of dressing. Although there is an element of foretelling that goes with psychic abilities, a real psychic can go to much deeper levels of the universe and see things from a far more powerful perspective than the ability to make a simple prediction.

Real psychic abilities are first of all about yourself, about you becoming what you are truly meant to be. We have today become lost in the thinking mind. Many of us have lost the ability to know ourselves and our place in life with any degree of confidence. We are taken this way and that way by our thoughts and our beliefs. We no longer trust our intuition. Our loss of trust in intuition has dis-empowered us in  an enormous way.  We have become very fearful and anxious about our decisions and our beliefs. As a result, modern life is full of stress and worry.

The first thing, about developing our psychic ability, in other words, developing our intuition, our sense of knowing, is that we become more confident about life. Of course, I am talking here about real psychic abilities not about fortune telling. When we develop our real psychic abilities then our sense of knowing becomes like a laser beam penetrating into the depths of ourselves and the depths of the universe.

Real psychic abilities help us to become wise people. As our psychic abilities become stronger, we become more loving, caring and compassionate.  Pseudo psychic abilities that lead us to become high priestesses and see ourselves above other people are not real psychic abilities. They are just a play of the ego and an expression of an inflated opinion of ourselves.

When we develop our real psychic abilities we connect with the rest of the universe more powerfully and more intimately than ever before. This leads us to experience and feel the oneness of all things. We become more connected with others. A real psychic travels the pathways of a connected universe. A real psychic heals the sense of separation within himself or herself and others. As that belief in separation dissolves then fear and anxiety are also begin to disappear and confidence takes their place.

Psychic abilities helps us to realize that we are not alone, that we live in a rich and multi-dimensional universe where there is life of all kinds and at all levels. A real psychic engenders strength and faith in the reality of a universe of harmony were there is no reason to fear.

Unlocking your psychic powers is a path of empowerment for yourself and for others. It is a wonderful and magnificent way of contributing to the universe and helping in the evolution  of the human race. This is something that we can all do but women seem to have a more natural inclination in this direction. Women link to their intuitive feelings more easily than most men. Men tend to be more dominated by the rational and thinking mind. Of course, men can become powerful psychics when they have the determination and the inclination.

For me personally, as a man, I worked out over twenty five years ago, in quite a rational way, that I needed to develop my intuitive abilities. I realised that I was too rational and thought about things too much, ignoring my intuitive feelings.

So, this rational male way of thinking led me to buy a deck of tarot cards and I learned from a book how to do readings and how to interpret the cards. I was head teacher of a Catholic secondary school at the time and when students discovered that I was able to read that the tarot they would come asking me to give them a reading. I found it quite a useful way of linking in with students and helping them with their problems, discussing things with them which in a more formal situation they would have found quite difficult.

I know what I did was a bit unusual but then life is all about following your intuitions confidently and, I certainly never thought at the time, that one day I would become the managing director of a psychic line. The universe is a great stream of life, we are part of that stream and we need our intuition and confidence in our feelings if we are going to merge consciously with that great universal stream and fulfil our destiny.

Wherever we are at, if we develop our psychic and intuitive powers then this will help us to flow with what we are meant to become. It will help us to have real meaning and purpose in our lives.  It will enable us to move out of the humdrum routine that most of us find so stifling. I know for me, personally, my intuition has helped to make my life far more interesting and exciting than it would have been if I had followed my rational mind. I am very glad that there are so many times when I have ceased to listen to my fearful, anxious thinking mind and have followed my intuition.
