Find The Right Psychic

A question we are often asked by clients is how can someone do a psychic reading over the telephone? For most of us, our first experience of a psychic reading may be at a fair ground or a personal consultation. It may have involved the psychic asking you to shuffle tarot cards or laying out your hands. It is a very intimate and personal experience.

On first consideration, a telephone psychic reading may seem to be a very impersonal and remote form of communication. The fact the psychic is doing your reading using a modern piece of technology, possibly hundreds of miles away, may seem at odds with the idea that a psychic is picking up your energies. Surely, a psychic needs some kind of physical proximity, touch or physical connection with the person they are reading for?

In short, the answer is no. When you think about it, the whole conception of being psychic transcends physicality. If I can only do a reading about someone who is next to me, then how could a psychic tell that same person about their partner, family, friends etc. Surely, the rules of proximity would have to apply to them also.

In reality a psychic connection transcends space and time. It comes down to the telephone psychic's ability and intention to interact and help their client. When I do readings over the phone, using tarot cards for example, I will ask the client to focus their mind on the question they wish to ask while I am shuffling the cards. In this context, an open channel is created.

In the case of a clairvoyant reading I may find a particular name or place that a client mentions immediately brings up images and feelings about the client's situation.

In many ways I find a telephone psychic reading forces you to use your psychic ability more deeply. You don't know what a client looks like, you can not read any non-verbal messages. A telephone psychic starts from a truly blank slate, with very few pre-conceptions or judgements.

One word of warning

The only area that can be an issue with telephone psychic readings is the greater possibility of charlatans and frauds. This is no different than any other service on the internet. There are many scammers who will exploit even vulnerable people to get money.

The best way to protect yourself is to make sure the person claiming to be psychic has a well established reputation, either as a psychic line or as an individual. Make sure you can see they have a physical address on their website with phone number. And be clear before you start a reading what they are promising to offer you. If they promise you the world e.g. I will make your lover come back, predict your lotto number etc then run the other way. In particular be careful of telephone psychics offering love spells. I have talked to many clients who have been burnt and lost lots of money through these kind of false promises.

On a more positive note however, in my experience the vast majority of telephone psychics tend to be honest and caring people, who simply want to use their skills in a way that connect to a broader and more diverse group of clients. The best approach is to keep an open but enquiring mind.

There are literally hundreds of sites with psychic readers who claim to be gifted, genuine, 100% accurate, give good psychic readings and so on. Yet, finding the right psychic for many people seems to be a hit and miss affair. There is no way that you can do anything to guarantee a good psychic reading but there are ways that you can look more carefully at the options in front of you in order to make the right choice.

There is still a widely held belief for many people that if you tell a psychic reader nothing of your situation or query, then you receive a more ‘accurate’ reading – the psychic first must demonstrate their ability to you, or tell you something they couldn’t possibly know. Well, whilst in some cases when a client asks for a ‘general reading’, they are wanting an overview of their direction, in the vast majority of cases, this is just a way for a client to conceal from the psychic what their question really is.

A psychic reading is an open channel of energies between yourself and a psychic. Consequently, your attitude and approach to the reading is as important as the psychic reader’s intention.

2. Have a list of questions ready for the psychic reading. It helps to write them down so you don’t forget them once you are on the psychic reading.

3. Try not to ask Yes/No questions. These questions tend to limit the flow of the psychic reading in the same way they would limit the flow of any conversation. Make the question is specific but open ended. This will encourage the psychic reader to give you more quality guidance.

4. Ask the psychic how they connect with their psychic abiltity. Are they a clairvoyant(see images)? Do they see past lives? This will help you appreciate the way the information flows and is being expressed.

5. If there are some general areas you want to focus on, like relationship, career, health etc, make sure you let the psychic know.

6. Don’t try to test the psychic by withholding information. This is the best way to create the worst atmosphere in a psychic reading. Were you relaxed when you did exams? Perhaps being under pressure may have helped you work out Maths problems more quickly, but in a psychic reading, it just makes the experience unnecessarily difficult and stressful for the psychic.

7. Be open to a different way of thinking about yourself and your problems. Hopefully, a psychic will be able to help you to create a totally different and empowering perspective about your problems. Dont come to a psychic reading thinking you have it all figured out. Be open to change.

8. Validate your psychic. If the psychic is saying things that make a lot of sense to you, make sure you tell them. This helps the psychic continue down the right track.

9. If you don’t understand something don’t be afraid to ask. Sometimes psychics don’t communicate clearly. We are human after all.

10. Just enjoy your psychic reading. The psychic reading is time to focus on YOU. Look at it as a kind of healing session, helping you to let go of the old hurts and embrace new plans for the future.
