Psychic Arts (8)

category-psychic A psychic is someone who use extra-sensory perception to gain deeper insight into a person's spirit and destiny. Psychics are often confused with fortune tellers and predictions. While psychics may see into the future, nothing is ever set in stone. it is the psychic's role to support the client to see new pathways and new choices that can help them to embrace a postive and life-affirming direction.

Magical Stories

Written by Cathy Cox

There’s no doubt that to even the most casual observer of popular culture in the last decade, magic has become a firm favourite in books, movies and television. Harry Potter, the Chronicles of Narnia, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Lord of the Rings – these have all been enormous commercial success magical stories, and across a number of media, yet they are magical stories which take us into another world. Wizards, magical terminology, and mythical creatures have become part of the vocabulary of children, and of course the young at heart. But why are stories about magic so popular again, in what is undoubtedly a high-tech age? What is it that they communicate to us? What is it that captures our imagination, and which sparks our curiosity about the magical and the unknown? Maybe, just maybe, there are elements contained in these stories, which are not so unknown at all. Maybe what’s happening is that we are recognising things we’ve always known, and understandings about how the universe really operates.

Psychic Arts, Ancient Arts

Written by Cathy Cox

The Psychic Arts have been with us throughout history. In this insightful article, Cathy Cox explores how intuition still helps us in our everyday lives.

Psychic arts has been with us since time immemorial. From the Native American shamans, to the medicine man of South America, the druids of Europe to the oracles of Asia, as well as the Australian Aboriginal people. Across all cultures, people have accessed their psychic powers to help themselves and their people, and to guide them in their daily lives. Though the myriad of different practices and beliefs, traditions and customs, the one thing shared by all of these cultures was the ability to use their intuition and move into a different realm of consciousness and access knowledge which they could then pass on to others or use themselves. This wasn’t considered spooky or scary - it was a natural part of life that was respected, accepted and recognised as being of great value.

Imaginary friends or psychic perception?

Written by Gaye Wright

In this intriguing article, Gaye Wright explores the realm of relationships of a different kind. Do the imaginary friends we have deserve a better explanation? Is it possible that these imaginary friends might be real? What purpose do these imaginary friends play? Are these imaginary friends always in harmony? Is there a bigger picture that tells the real story?

Most parents would prefer that their children did not have imaginary friends. There is a general belief that these ghosts are merely figments of a child’s imagination. It is too challenging for most of us to entertain any alternative explanation.

Why psychics are the new psychologists?

Written by Cathy Cox

Why do so many people believe in psychic phenomena? Because they have psychic experiences! And why do they have psychic experiences when science and psychology tells us these experiences are not real? In this article, Cathy Cox explores the reasons for the undeniable popularity of psychics today.

The latest Gallup Poll (Gallup and Newport 1991) shows that about a third of Americans believe in telepathy (psychic ability) and about a quarter claim to have experienced it themselves. Rather fewer have experienced clairvoyance or psycho-kinesis (PK), but still the numbers are very high and have not been decreasing over the years. Previous surveys have found similar results, and also that the most common reason for belief in the paranormal or psychic ability is personal experience (Palmer 1979; Blackmore 1984). In short, people believe in psychic experiences because they have them!

Why not be your own psychic?

Written by Gaye Wright

Have you ever thought about becoming a psychic?  We all have psychic abilties, developing them can make an enormous difference to your life. Strong psychic powers can transform a person, increasing confidence, improving relationships and helping in the making of more intelligent and appropriate decisions. Each of us has this enormous psychic ability which often lies underneath our thinking minds, untapped  and unused.
Psychic abilities have been equated with fortune-telling and predicting the future. It has been associated with gypsy like women with dark eyes and an odd way of dressing. Although there is an element of foretelling that goes with psychic abilities, a real psychic can go to much deeper levels of the universe and see things from a far more powerful perspective than the ability to make a simple prediction.

Your Psychic Blue print

Written by Gaye Wright

Your psychic blueprint is how you’re identified in the subconscious. Just as your fingerprint identifies you at subtle levels of what we call physical matter, your psychic blueprint is how you’re identified at more and more subtle levels of the subconscious. If you want to know what your fingerprint reveals to you, you have to study your DNA, your cells, your genes – all those very subtle levels of matter, in the conventional sense. If you want to know what your psychic blueprint means, that psychic fingerprint that you hold, then you also need to study and learn about yourself at those more and more subtle levels of the subconscious, of the psychic realms – where psychic matter resides.

Tuning into your 'Inner Psychic'

Written by Gaye Wright

I'm sure that some of you have been told already about your own personal psychic ability, even though you're the one having the psychic reading. Psychics often pick up on their client's psychic or healing ability as part of the general open environment of a genuine psychic reading. I know this has happened many times with me over the years. It stands to reason that if you're having a psychic reading, then there's a great likelihood that you believe in psychic readings, and that you're open to your own intuition and subconscious power.

Moon Magic

Written by Gaye Wright
If you do even the most basic google search on writings about the moon, you will be astonished. The moon, it would seem, has inspired poets and musicians over time, and in every culture. Mythological language, the visual languages of painting and photography - the sheer volume of art, music and literature would suggest that the moon has a particular capacity to affect us deeply, right to the core of our beings.

Obviously science tells us that the moon has a direct impact on the earth through the ebb and flow of tides, and its cycles are studied by astronomers and astrologers alike. Is this the answer? Is this why the moon has such a mysterious effect upon us? Maybe the waters of our bodies are effected just as the tides.
